A 79 year old woman with atrial fibrillation presented with the acute onset of a global aphasia and tetraparesis.

Outline the Infarction

CT scan - day 3. Note the large area of hypodensity, sulcal effacement, and lack of differentiation between the gray and white matter in the distribution of both middle cerebral arteries.
