Extracranial Vertebral Artery Stenosis - Case 1

A 63 year-old man presented with recurrent symptoms of transient vertigo and ataxia. His MRI of the brain was normal as well his MRA of his intracranial and extracranial circulation.

Outline the Vertebral Stenosis

Angiogram of the right subclavian artery. Note the high grade stenosis of the origin of the vertebral artery. This lesion was the cause of the patient's symptoms and was successfully treated by stent placement.
