Intracranial Vertebral Artery Stenosis - Case 1

A 62 year-old woman presented with spells of slurred speech, vertigo, left facial numbness and ataxia.

Outline the Vertebral Stenosis

Vertebral - Basilar Angiogram - AP (left) and Lateral (right). Note the high grade stenosis of the left vertebral artery, which was the cause of the patient's TIAs. This lesion was successfully reopened by placement of a stent.
