Lobar Intracerebral Hemorrhage - Case 4

A 62 year old right handed man presented with headache and lethargy. The previous medical history was significant for hypertension. On exam, his was abulic with a subtle right hemiparesis.

Outline the Frontal Lobar Blood             Show the Surrounding Vasogenic Edema

The CT scan shows a large hemorrhage in the left frontal lobe with surrounding edema and mass effect. Although lobar hemorrhages occur secondary to hypertension, it is important to exclude other underlying causes in cases such as this (e.g., tumor, AVM, etc.).
