Meningioma - Frontal  Parafalcine - Case 4

A 49year-old woman presented with a headaches and weakness of the left leg.

(Left) Axial MRI Scan T1-weighted with gadolinium; (Right) Axial MRI Scan T2 weighted. Note the large mass which is dural based and compressing the adjacent frontal lobe.  The mass is cystic and  enhances with contrast. This is the appearance of a histologically aggressive meningioma.  Meningiomas are common tumors.  They are typically benign histologically, and treatable with surgical resection if they are in an accessible location.
