A 56 year-old woman presented with headaches and a change in personality.

Note the Isointense Tumor on T1   Show the Gadolinium Enhancement   Show the Regional Anatomy

MRI Scans (Left ) T1 axial; (Right ) T1 axial with gadolinium.  Note the large, well demarcated mass. The tumor is dural based and compressing the adjacent temporal lobe.  The mass is isodense on T1 but strongly enhances with contrast.  This is the typical appearance of a meningioma.  Meningiomas are common tumors.  They are typically benign histologically, and treatable with surgical resection if they are in an accessible location.
