Case 10 - Piliocystic Astrocytoma

A 10 year-old girl presented with a headaches and gait instability.

(Left) Axial T2-weighted MRI; (Middle) Axial T1 weighted MRI; (Right) T1-weighted with gadolinium.. Note the cystic mass in the region of the midline of the cerebellum. There is an enhancing nodule surrounded by cystic fluid. Among gliomas, piliocystic astrocytomas are one the most curable tumors by surgical resection.
