Inferior Cerebellar Infarction - Case 2

A 55 year old woman presented with vertigo, nausea and vomiting.  Examination showed right sided ataxia, slurred speech, and nystagmus.

Outline the Infarction

Axial Flair MRI shows high signal in the inferior cerebellum, in the distribution of the posterior inferior cerebellar artery (PICA). Strokes in this location can sometimes be misdiagnosed as gastroenteritis.
