Lumbar Plexopathy Secondary to Lymphoma

An 80 year old woman was presented with progressive pain and weakness from the right hip to the knee associated with paresthesias of the medial calf. On examination, the right knee reflex was absent.

Outline the Iliacus Muscle                                                                          Outline the Mass

Axial CT Scan of the Abdomen and Pelvis:  Note the large mass on the right. It is in a position to compress the underlying lumbar plexus which runs inferior to the iliacus muscle. Biopsy showed large cell lymphoma.
