Basilar Artery Artery Aneurysm - Case 2 - Post Coiling

Outline the Aneurysm Post-Coiling

Cerebral Angiogram, Left Vertebral injection. (Left) AP view; (Right) Lateral view. Note the large aneurysm is no longer visible. The aneurysm was treated by intravascular therapy. A microcathether was placed within the aneurysm followed by packing the aneurysm with Guglielmi Detachable Coil (GDC)s. In this procedure, increasingly smaller radiopaque platinum coils are placed through a microcatheter into the aneurysm, which then obliterates the cavity.
