Posterior Communicating Artery Aneurysm - Case 1

A 34 year-old woman developed the lightening onset of an explosive headache followed by nausea and vomiting.

Cerebral angiogram, right internal artery injection. Note the aneurysm arising from the posterior communicating artery. This is one of the common locations for aneurysms. In some cases, a Pcom aneurysm will result in an ipsilateral third nerve palsy.
