Anterior Cerebral Artery Infarction - Case 3

A 52 year old man developed right lower leg weakness. Four days later, he presented to the ER.

Outline the Infarction

(Left) Axial CT; (Right) Axial Flair MRI scan. Note the lesion in the left medial frontal lobe in the left anterior cerebral artery distribution. As the lesion is more than 2-3 days old, it is seen as a hypodensity on CT.  As the anterior cerebral artery supplies the medial frontal lobe, the contralateral leg is predominantly affected.
