Arteriovenous Malformation - Case 3

A 46-year old woman presented headache and vomiting. A dense left visual field loss was present on examination.

Show the Flow Voids of the AVM                Show the Intracerebral Hemorrhage

T2-weighted axial MRI. Note the dark flow voids in the right occipital lobe near the cortex. These are dilated vessels of the AVM. The bright signal in the occipital cortex is the subacute intracerebral hemorrhage. AVMs typically present with headaches, seizures or intracranial hemorrhage.
