Brain Abscess - Case 3

A 33 year man presented with two weeks of fever, headache, and difficulty seeing to the right.

Show the Vasogenic Edema

(Left) Axial CT Scan; (Right) Axial T2-weighted MRI scan. Note the abnormality in the posterior parietal / occipital lobe. There appears to the be lesion in the center with surrounding vasogenic edema. Neurosurgical aspiration revealed pus and numerous gram (+) cocci.
