Meningioma - Frontal  Parietal

A 13 year-old boy presented with a mild incoordination of his left hand.

Note the Midline Shift          Show the Gadolinium Enhancement

MRI Scans: (Left) Coronal T1-weighted with gadolinium; (Right) Sagittal T1-weighted with gadolinium. Note the large, well demarcated mass which is dural based, compressing the adjacent frontal and parietal lobes.  The mass strongly enhances with contrast. This is the typical appearance of a meningioma.  Meningiomas are common tumors.  They are typically benign histologically, and treatable with surgical resection if they are in an accessible location.
