Acute on Chronic Subdural Hematoma - Case 3

A 39 year-old man was drowsy with a mild left hemiparesis following a fall off a ladder.

Show the Acute Blood            Show the Chronic Blood            Show the Midline Shift and Mass Effect  

Axial CT Scans. Note the acute right sudural hematoma.  Acute blood is high signal on CT scan. Looking closely, there is a small area of old blood on the frontal area. Note also the obvious mass effect on the adjacent hemisphere.
