Subdural Hematoma - Unilateral Subacute - Case 1

A 77 year-old man developed progressive confusion and weakness of the right arm and leg.

Outline the Subdural        Note the Absence of Sulci on the Left Compared to the Right

Axial CT scans. Note the crescent shape overlying and compressing the left hemisphere. On CT, the findings may be subtle (scan on the left). However, looking closely, note how all the sulci are effaced on the left but normal on the right. Looking closely, one can see the tell tale crescent shape of the subdural hematoma.
